Rick Strassman has re-interpreted the experiences of Moses in the Old Testament as potential examples of endogenous psychedelic experiences mediated by DMT produced in the pineal gland. Ira Moses, Ph.D., ABPP, is a psychoanalyst who was the former Director of Training and Clinical Services at the William Alanson White Institute. Moses LeRoy was a civil rights leader active in mid-20th century Houston who received support from the NAACP. No collaborations or controversies were identified beyond institutional affiliations.
